Here's Grover from Sesame Street. He's riding a locomotive that is mounted on the top of a 4-ounce bottle of bubble solution. A small tube runs from Grover down into the bubble solution. When you blow in the end of the pipe, the air is pushed down the straw into the solution. The air then escapes through the "smokestack" at the front of the locomotive. As it escapes, it brings bubble solution along, creating bubbles.
