New York City dentists
Louis and Norman Greene were exploring innovative applications
of plastics after World War II, and came up with an idea for a
bubble blower. They created the molds for Mr. Bubbles and His
Magic Bazoo in Norman's home shop.
After lining up needed
backing, they started Morris Plastics Corp., which was named after
the men's father Morris Greenblatt, and began production.
Mr. Bubbles appeared
in stores for the Christmas season of 1961, and Donald the Bubble
Duck came soon after.
Louis
Greene's son Steven provided the above information.
